Garden Talk

Hours of the weekend have been spent drooling over  plant catalogues and trawling websites for ferns, clematis, dahlias, green manure crops and potatoes. And the rest.  Our  garden has been shredded and reduced to passive soil (bristling with weed seeds) and hard landscaping and after hours of penitential digging we are ready to go.  But what to choose?  Like King John's Christmas, I want everything and now. Unsurprising that insomnia has kicked in.  Late night surfing has taken me to Alexandra Campbell's Middle Sized Garden and a list of possible plant colours to put together.  Blue and yellow should be on that list - they always provoke a gasp so see above salvia, echinops and dill.  In a large walled garden in Hampshire.  Oh for the space to be able to plant like that.
